Built in 1969, Tower 12 was originally an observation tower for oil workers and military personnel stationed in the area. It was later converted into a tourist attraction and now welcomes visitors from all over the world.

The Tower is open from 9am to 10pm daily and admission is free. Visitors are able to climb up the stairs or take the elevator to the top. There are also several restaurants and bars located on the premises, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a sunset or a night out with friends.

The best time to visit the tower is around sunset, but the views are best at this time of day. The tower is closed to visitors during the night and it is suggested that you keep at least one day free in order to explore other parts of Mexico City.

This will allow you to arrive at the tower on your first day or evening and spend a few hours exploring the city before visiting Tower 12 in the afternoon or early evening. You can check here for more details about access times, admission fees and opening hours.
