Yes, chewing gum is delicious and tasty. And if you have kids around the house, no doubt they will chew gum from time to time. Unfortunately, accidents do happen and chewing gum can get on the carpet, which can be a problematic situation for any carpet owner.

The first thing you need to try after the gum is on the carpet is to pick it up right away. See if you can stop it from crashing in the first place.

Sometimes you can be successful and end up not having to clean up anything. If that still fails, try removing as much of the rubber as possible. The more you can finish at first, the easier it will be to get rid of the rest.

If you can't remove all of the gum by trying, put a few ice cubes in a Ziploc bag and stick it directly onto the rest of the gum. This step will freeze the gum and make it easier to remove. Once the gum has cooled, try using your hands to remove it from the carpet fibers. Repeat this step until all of the gum is removed.
